About the Roxbury Races
About forty runners meet every Saturday morning from February through November, at the recreation area on West Apple Lane in Roxbury, Connecticut. We have a little race, starting at 8:30am. No entry fees (usually. Three "championships" a year charge $5 each). Sometimes we have t-shirts. Distances vary from 2.4 miles to 11.2 miles. For all races over 5 miles, we also have an alternate race of 3.55 miles or less.
To get to the start, find the monument on Rt. 67 in "downtown" Roxbury. Go half a mile south on South Street (past Town Hall). Turn right onto West Apple Lane. The Hurlburt Recreation Area is half a mile on your right.
